Day 5 - Black Bass World Championship 2007

Results after the second tournament day
One more day!
As we had been working on Zunftweb until 3 am last night we were lacking motivation this morning. The weather forecast was a disaster (95% probability of rain) and so left plenty of room for positive surprises. In fact we enjoyed a dry and partially sunny day. The start was as spectacular as ever and despite all our efforts the fish refused to take our tasty lures.
Pretty view on Lake Caspe
The monastery marks the beginnig of the bassy zone.
High water provides our bassy friends with plenty of hideaways
Dressed for a meteorological disaster
Jésus, Christoph and Albrecht on their way to more false strikes
Beating around the bush
We really took it very serious
After a false strike Christoph had a massive hook-up...but the line did not hold. Lucky will be the fisherman who will catch the 3kg bass that is now swimming around Lake Caspe with our luxurious Yamamoto Spinnerbait.
At the weight-in we meet Johannes and Rene. Like us they blanked.
Joe and José waiting to be slipped.
On our way to the weight-in with only empty beer bottles in the livewell;)
Acknowledging our failure with my signature.
As usually the bass are hard to spot.
